“Malleswaram Flower Market” - a space where colour, fragrance, movement, and tradition come together before the city fully wakes up. Located in the heart of Malleshwaram, this flower market reflects the rhythm of everyday Bengaluru - vendors preparing garlands at sunrise, hands moving rapidly through jasmine and marigold, conversations flowing between buyers, temple visitors, and traders, all surrounded by layers of texture and scent. Through this documentary photography project, I wanted to capture not only the market itself, but the atmosphere that exists within it - the repetition of patterns, the geometry of flowers stacked in bundles, the contrast between chaos and precision, and the human connection behind daily commerce. As someone interested in abstraction and observation, I found the market visually alive in every direction. The colours, forms, shadows, and movements created fleeting compositions that lasted only seconds before disappearing into the crowd again. This project became an exploration of ordinary spaces that quietly hold cultural memory.
